What are your Prices?
For weddings, our prices start at $2000. A portion of the fee covers our time to document your day and the rest is a credit to be used towards any products (albums, prints, portraits, etc.) that you choose.
For family portraits, it is usually $400 for a two hour shoot. Please contact us to discuss your needs in more detail.
Everyone that visits our studio goes home with a package of information detailing all of our services, products, and prices.
How many hours of coverage are included?
Our pricing is structured such that you can allocate the minimum fee towards more hours of coverage or more product credit. Tanya can help you plan out your day to determine the number of hours that will best serve you. Our minimum commitment is 4 hours.
What packages do you have?
Each couple custom selects a package that works best for them, with a wide menu of products and services to choose from. After visiting our studio, you'll be provided with a complete price sheet and sample packages as guides.
What days do we have available?
Give us a call or drop us an email and we'll let you know if we are available for your day. If we are available we can setup a complimentary appointment at our studio to review our work and so we can get to know one another.
If we are booked, but you have the option of changing your date, we will certainly work to accommodate you.
It's important to us that you have our full attention and focus on your wedding day, thus your's will be the only one we book for the day, regardless of the hours of coverage.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, cheque, money order, Master Card and Visa.
Are you willing to travel?
Absolutely. There are no additional fees for weddings within the Lower Mainland (even for a wedding with multiple locations). For other areas, we are more than happy to provide you with a personalized quote. Did someone mention Hawaii?
Do you shoot digital or with film?
We are now exclusively digital because of the advantages it offers to both us and you. It allows us to be far more creative and flexible in the number (and type) of images we take and the products and creative touches we can offer. Our information package gives more details on the advantages.
Do you include negatives?
As we shoot digitally, there are no 'negatives' per se. Each couple at a minimum receives a CD slideshow of all of the 'proofs'. If you wish to purchase 'printable' files, we do make that option available to you.
Do you offer on-line proofing?
Yes, and in fact we can help get the word out to all your family and wedding guests on how to view them. They can even order prints directly from us.
This is standard service offered to all clients as part of our minimum commitment fee.
Who will be our photographer?
Tanya is the primary photographer for every event, with her husband Jeff assisting (photographing, carrying bags, retrieving guests, telling jokes) for virtually all of them. The foundation of our business is in forming a long-term relationship with you and part of forming the relationship is actually being there to take your picture.
What is your photography style?
It is a blend of contemporary journalistic with traditional posed. We spend a significant portion of the day just documenting the events as they unfold. For the posed shots of yourself, family, and wedding party we gently guide everyone along to ensure fantastic images and to keep within the allotted time.
Do you allow others to take pictures during the Wedding day?
Certainly, as long as they are not hired professionals. We do ask that guests refrain from taking posed shots until after we finish - this speeds things along as it avoids unnecessary flashes and distractions.
It seems important to visit your studio. Why?
For those living in the Lower Mainland, we view it as mandatory. Our style and approach to weddings (and family portraits) is to establish a trusted advisor relationship. We want to be more than just a hired gun. The goal is to get you relaxed and comfortable, and that's hard when you are around strangers.
Visiting the studio gives you and us a chance to see if our personalities will mesh (very important). It also gives you a chance to get your hands on the albums, view the wall portraits, and generally get a better sense of your investment.
